(No ICLWers, as much as I feel contrite for posting a late intro, the apology is not necessarily for you! More on that later...)
Hi ICLWers!
Long (kind of) story much shorter - a (relatively) long 18 months after going off birth control, I got my "sticky" positive pregnancy test, and 9 months later met Button.
TTC #2 has officially begun as of this month with cycle#1 resulting in a tattoo and dentist appointment... (see here for why!) ((and just so you know, they are not all the same appointment, the tattoo and dentist work... lol))
As for the apology - I'm sorry, Wondfos, for basically calling you liars... alas, you were right, not pregnant this time... "I'll get you next time!" *Shakes fists*
(and while the dentist appointment to begin the long-dreaded root canal (new x-rays needed since it's been so long) is set for 1.5 weeks from now, the tattoo is waiting for this current snow storm in the NJ area to end so I can meet with an artist to get the design started!
(Last time I spontaneously got a tattoo, E (thankfully!) convinced me to switch from my desired "615 BITCHES" tattoo (to support his engine number (615) and the other firefighter wives) to a much nicer "La Vie Est Belle"... nice, right? I've learned from this experience that I need to take a little bit more time for tattoo consideration...)
Anyways - welcome to The Buggy List!
I recognize that shirt button in wearing!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you've got stuff to keep you busy after getting a bfn, although they both sound pretty painful lol!

Hey Kate, I'm here from ICLW. Will have to take some time to read your blog (looks like I have a LOT of catching up to do!)
ReplyDeleteI have been meaning to get another tattoo since my daughter was born (Oct '13) but fell pregnant again in September last year so it is still on hold.... plus I have one I really need to get removed first. No, I didn't get it when I was young and drunk - 30 and sober in fact - but it is the other half of a tattoo that my ex and I got done together to symbolise our love for each other. And it's on my hand so I can't exactly forget about it as I can always see it.
Anyways, hi! Nice to sort of meet you.
Nice to "meet" you! (I have a tattoo that needs to be "fixed" too - not necessarily removed, but possibly covered up, only because it's now illegible! booooo!)
DeleteHere via ICLW - thanks for your comment! I am also a firefighter wife...although he's only volunteer at the moment as he is completing his training. I have never gotten a tattoo and I really want to get one...I just keep going back and forth on what I want. I keep thinking once I have a baby it will just come to me....hm...we'll see! Anyway I look forward to following your blog and good luck with #2!
ReplyDeleteHi!
Delete*Hubby is actually on a lengthy leave-of-absence from FD now (he was volunteer as well) because we moved, and the new town's FD - let's just say it's definitely lacking, compared to our old town... (mostly in work - I think in the number of months he was still on in the new town, they had but 1-2 calls...)
Your son is so cute!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with #2 and sorry to hear about your recent BFN. We are working on #2 ourselves.
Here from ICLW.
Thanks! =)
DeleteGood luck yourself with #2!
Good luck on your impending root canal. I know it's not going to be a particularly smooth and easy ride, but once you reach your destination with that, you'll have something that will set you up real well for the long haul. It simply has to be done and taken cared of when the necessity for it arises, so you really should be ready for it. I just hope that everything goes well for you on that regard. Take care!

Pleased to meet you! Thanks for commenting on my blog :). I also had a tooth problem in my last cycle and I am convinced that is what buggered up my chances - I had a tooth pulled and it was very painful!!
ReplyDeleteouch! I'm hoping that I don't have to have this one pulled - it's been almost 2 years since it needed a root canal... =\
