Wardrobe update...

because, well .... I bought some more LLR...

like, 5 more pieces... yes. in one week...

This is it though... no more... (I already feel the "BUY BUY BUY" urge dying away, accepting that when someone else snagged the $10 EUC leggings (TEN FRIGGIN DOLLARS... biotch) just 1 minute before I posted, that it wasn't meant to be - a sign from the LLR Gods that I have BOUGHT.. E.. NUFF.

So, what did I buy?

Well... I spotted these really cute XOXO Valentine leggings, but they had been sold via private message on (TheFacePage) and I was all, "I officially have a unicorn*!"

(*a unicorn is a LLR term for someone's GOTTA-HAVE-THAT item, whether leggings, dress or shirt, in a certain pattern)
So I posted in the B/S/T group about it, and within minutes someone had told me they have the XOXO leggings - and who would it be but the girl I bought my Madison from! She sold them to me for just $22 shipped - they're BrandNewWithTags as you can see!
These pretty gals should be arriving in the mail today!

And then there was a cute Aztec-sleeved Randy (baseball-T) that I snagged about two weeks ago, that there was a miscommunication/misspelling for invoicing/paypal payment that finally got squared away (no picture, it was too long ago that I commented sold, I couldn't find the post!) and that, too, should be arriving any day (oh boy, I can only imagine the mail waiting at the house... lol) I got this for only $17 shipped!

And speaking of fun fall Aztec prints, I found EUC (excellent used condition) leggings for only $12 shipped!

Couldn't pass those up at all!!



I can already picture these with over-the-knee light brown boots, and a big oversize cream cable knit sweater...

too bad it's still in the 90's this week!!!

During another clearance sale somewhere I snagged a solid teal Cassie for only $14 shipped!!

will go with everything! 

ooo but I just envisioned a tucked-in chambray... 

and another one I'm excited for this fall: a solid burgundy Azure (for just $19 shipped!) that I could tell was getting close to selling (three others quickly posted "next" after I claimed it!)

 

The Azure is a great light cotton A-line twirly-swirly skirt with a fold over waist that can totally be pulled up high over a tank and belted with boots, or worn low and over the knee

And really, I only bought all this (after I said I was done) because I sold a bunch:
my teal with yellow arrows Cassie, the black lacy Cassie went in a package deal with the large Julia... I got an offer and sold the B&W polka dot Cassie I had been debating on (made $7 on it!) and am also awaiting the exchanged Irma-for-ClassicT!

I also sold (last night!) the royal blue Nicole - except, lost $4 in the deal - I just ran out at lunch to the post office and shipped it, damn the textured Nicole weights alot... cost over $9 to ship!!! UGH


So, that's it... no more buying unless it's CHEAP - like, wholesale prices - and something I already have matching accessories/articles and can make multiple outfits with!

I also bagged up a huge amount of regular and maternity clothes to try to sell to thredUP... I figured it's stuff I was getting rid of anyways, even if it gets me $30 for the whole bag (there's alot there!) hey, why not?

I've also sold about $60 worth of maternity clothes, and have someone coming this weekend to check out a set lot of Ms. Mack's 3-6M clothes (a momma who is due this winter! maybe we can make the season sales a regular thing as the babes both grow! lol)

Now - I was up late last night (1am!!!) cleaning house because my grandparents are rolling into town to stay two nights with us - E has been in FL since Wednesday to catch last night's rocket launch with his dad, and will return tomorrow midday...
so I'm a bit tired, and need to snap to it and hopefully leave work a little early today to have just a bit of a breather before the G'rents arrive (my grandfather is very punctual, having been a commercial airline pilot for years and will no doubt have his arrival timed to the minute, pulling up in front of my house at the 5:30 time I mentioned to them two weeks ago as the time I get home from wrok...)

Wednesday Wardrobe Upheaval!

yea, that new fad that's going around?

where people are spending $100+ on pair of LEGGINGS?

I've been knocked upside the head with it - and now own, wait for it please... 27 pieces of LuLaRoe clothing...

And now that I have nearly one of every item they make (except the guy stuff), I am finally able to try and remind myself to keep it relative - while I might spot a LLR Amelia dress (or Irma/ClassicT) for only $50 ($15 off retail!!!) and think, ZOMG I MUST BUY THAT! I remember that, were I to see the same dress on the rack at a store that I might frequent such as TJMaxx, I totally would be like - meh, not worth it....

with that said, here's my most recent wardrobe revamp (and, I guess, the money I spent on it... lol)

it all started (innocently enough - and I can't even remember at all how I first heard of it, or found the two local consultants I first bought from) with a pair of leggings and two skirts...

In fact, I was so new to it all - I had NO IDEA there were THOUSANDS of other consultants out there with different inventory... so I settled for the classic striped pencil skirt (STILL LOVE!) and floral leggings (trying to sell, if they don't sell I guess I'll keep, I've worn once or twice...) and floral pencil skirt (seen above as a shirt!) which I've sold... (I bought based on the small inventory from one consultant... lol boy have my horizons broadened...)

My next piece was a pair of leggings that a friend of mine got for free at a group meeting and then gave to me... (which I've honestly sold... weren't quite my type...)

My blinders were still on at this point, and I was unaware of the vast sea of LLR to choose from, so my next Cassie skirt was from a BuySellTrade group within a Parenting/PregnancyLoss/EverythingBaby message forum I'm on...

I like this skirt alot, I haven't worn it yet - and have listed it a few times to sell (just under retail, which is about what I paid for it) but each time I check it out, hanging in the guest bedroom with my SellStash, I like it a little bit more and more... and can see it with some brown boots and a sweater this winter... so.
I might keep that one... UPDATE: just got an offer on this an the blue Nicole (below!) woot!

and then, I found the MotherShip... er - the MotherGroup? -  a BST group on ThatFacePage now brings me giveaways, clearance sales, bargain bins, going-out-of-business blow-outs (seriously - with so many consultants "on-boarding" (joining the craze) the market is going to be SO saturated very soon, so I'll take advantage of any kind of sale - any way to avoid paying anywhere near retail!)

About the time I made my first purchase from the page, I won a giveaway!!! (I never win anything! I even repeated that to E 10 times in bed one morning upon waking and checking my phone (yes. first thing I do. sigh) and seeing my name tagged in a post announcing a winner!)

I won a Lindsey - their loose-jacket-cardigan. As you can seen, I've worn it once, and recently photographed it to list and sell... those things go for $48 at retail and I honestly have a striped long cardigan (as well as a million other cardigans) and, well - as you'll see below - I could use some money back... lol

Around the same time, I cracked open the vault of LLR-craziness...

The first, the best discovery of all time, is that beautiful maroon (color is funky in picture) Amelia: zips up the back and has POCKETS you guys... (also - I've seen ways people wear it BACKWARDS for nursing access!) I also haven't worn it yet, it being a dark fall color and it still being 90 degrees at the peak of the day here...

The next was a used Nicole I found for $28 (retails for $48!) that, because of the low price, I jumped on it thinking I'd at least flip it if it didn't work for me... well, it didn't quite work, and I can't quite flip it for profit, but I do have an offer on it currently with the teal arrow Cassie skirt - hopefully I can just get back what I paid!

The third item, yes - that's another Lindsey that I found for wholesale - only $19 (it retails for $48!!!!) a pretty heathered peachy/pink, it goes with everything! I love wearing it with a big B&W striped tank and skinny jeans (any color!)

The second set of leggings I bought were these lovelies... I have not worn them yet (again - too hot, and too fall-sy) but I can't wait to pair them with coral, or teal, or green - they'll go with so much!!! (I totally shamelessly paid retail + $3 shipping for these...)

And so, once the flood gates opened, so did my wallet:

I got another Amelia (black with a light teal print, not pictured here - and I'll be wearing for the first time tomorrow to a funeral (distant family uncle on E's side) and then on to work...)
I got a black printed Cassie (which I purchased with the intent of pairing with a B&W striped shirt, but it looked way cute with the orange/cream stripes!) I also purchased this one with the intent of wearing it as a scarf (YUP you read right, a SCARF!)

LOOK HOW CUTE!!!

The next two Cassies (B&W polka and black-lacy) were bought with intentions of flipping (selling for profit - ssshhhh LLR world hates flippers... but it's usually people that buy hard-to-find legging prints at retail and then price gouge, selling them for 4-5 times what they paid...) but the polka-dots are a medium so I'm debating keeping (especially after seeing this cute outfit)

I also now have a pending sale on the lacy Cassie (for about what I paid for it - at this point, I've realized it's a little silly to purchase with intentions of flipping - market is QUICKLY becoming over-saturated...)
The last item in that round of purchasing (all from one consultant, so boy did I see the money spent...) is an Irma tunic, which is made of that awful 1980's ribbed polyester material... got it at a big discount, didn't realize it was ribbed until I got it in the mail... blegh
but I found a consultant to do an even exchange with me (since it still has the tags on) for a plain grey Classic T... yay!

At this point, the frenzy started - browsing TheFacePage every twenty minutes (even keeping it open at work!) for FOMO - fear of missing out - on something that I "JUST HAVE TO HAVE!" because it's "SUCH A GOOD PRICE!"
I did wise up a bit and switch to more solid colors for the two Julias I got... (grey is medium, blue is large - figured I'd fit both sizes like I do in small and med Cassies... large is actually too big, but it's pending in the same sale as the lacy Cassie!)

(love my knotted Julia in the middle! it's just a hairtie done from the inside!)

I also got two pairs of leggings for which there's no pictures - one's a pastel pair (after I saw my sister in a pair that was super cute with a pastel oversized Tshirt!) in kind of 80's splash print, and the other is just solid gray. Buttery soft and GOES WITH EVERYTHING!



um... at this point, I had 20 items of LuLaRoe...

like I mentioned - I got smarter at shopping, no longer buying-to-flip, and sticking to solid colors...

and got picky - if I didn't love it? Go find another consultant to check out!

and the best are the "Destash" posts where people (unless they're flipping and price-gouging) just want to dump their stuff they don't wear... like a coral Amelia with a ROSE GOLD ZIPPER (for only $38! they retail $65!) ((also no picture... boo...))




And I found a solid grey Nicole with every intention of wearing it over one of these pretty thangs with some soft brown boots and a scarf this fall...






 I also got this fun Randy - which I am debating exchanging/selling, as it's too casual for work -but, I know it'll be fall soon and I'll love wearing it on the weekends =)

so now I've had about 8 different styles, but only 1 skirt and had been anxious to try a Madison, Maxi and Azure... well what did I find on good sales???

 why yes, that would be a Madison (for $11 off of retail!) and a Maxi (I have no recollection what I paid, most definitely under retail lol) and an Azure (not pictured, but used for only $15!!!)


By now, I'm thankful every day that I get home before the husband so I can clean out the multiple packages in the mail box...


and what were hopefully my last purchases of LuLaRoe (aside from exchanging that gross 1980's Irma for a grey cotton Classic T!) I had to get the most recent release, a Carly - and again, solid color, on sale!

(come to mama... over-the-knee light brown boots, chunky scarf, maybe long sleeves underneath.... OOOOOO I can already smell the pumpkin spice latte!)

I also impulse-bought TallCurvy leggings in a cute red-heart pattern thinking I'd rock 'em for V-day, but they're a little too big, so they're sold to a good friend for what I paid ($18!)

yes, it's not a solid color... but how pretty!!!!

Tuesday (T-minus 3)
After getting to Kmart (with Button) Monday night to get organization bins for nursery closet, I decided to stop nesting for the night - I'll have nothing left to nest with if I clean out the nursery closet, organize my shoes, and unpack all the girlie-girl clothes now!!

Except - then I decided to do just all that Tuesday night...

Button helped me (he's so task oriented, it's great!) move shoe boxes into the master bedroom, and I sorted through and put them away in my new shelf in the crawl space after he'd gone to  bed...

I then went through just one bin of the three (the one with newborn - 12month clothes... and not really all that much newborn, or even 0-3m, clothing...) and just nested a little bit.

But I won't lie - there's little drawers at the top of the nursery closet now with pink, purple and ruffles showing through!!

Today I've been struggling against a lack of motivation for work (which I am trying to keep balanced with reading a book (via .pdf file) here and there between actual work...)
Spent some time pinning all kinds of Baby Girl things... crochet patterns, cute photo ideas, fashion inspiration... CANNOT WAIT for December!!!!

This was the second book in the Due South Series - a light read which just switched characters from the first book (In Too Deep) for a similarly-sexy love story

#38. The Watcher by Platt & Wright    N/A category     (fin 7/2/15)
A short story by the guys who wrote Yesterday's Gone about a guy who takes it upon himself to be the unofficial - and creepy - neighborhood watchman! pretty cool, crazy ending!

 #39. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty    #28/50: A book with antonyms in the title    (fin 7/4/15)
A great book - started out seemingly shallow, with three moms from different economic backgrounds with children at the same elite preschool... digs much deeper in with domestic violence and parenting, overall a great read, especially as a parent to a toddler!
(*I have a number of other books by this author on my general "To-Read" list!)

#40. Blindsighted by Karin Slaughter    #46/50: A book written by an author with your same initials   (fin 7/6/15)
well.   obviously we can all guess what my initials are then... lol
as I just read an amazon review to refresh myself on which book this was, I got a jolting reminder - a murder mystery that opens with a blind woman who was raped and stabbed in a handicap stall after being lured to a diner restroom.  And the review that jolted me was about the very graphic description of rape & tortue performed by the killer... if you're into this - a great book to check out, but I remember finishing it while on vacation in CO and being left a little bit disturbed at the level of depravity attributed to this killer...

#41. The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey    #39/40: A book with magic    (fin 7/11/15)
After reading this, I wouldn't quite describe it as magic, as things and events in the book eventually receive an every-day explanation, but it definitely started as magical: based on an old russian fairytale (Russian, I think) an older couple, never able to bear children, create a snow child one night with special mittens, scarf and hat.  The next morning, the snow child is gone and they start to encounter a magical girl that lives in the wilderness (in ALASKA!  hence the "magic" expected!)
It reminded me a bit of the movie The Odd Life of Timothy Green - which was interesting, just as interesting as this book...

#42. Sideways Stories from Wayside School by Luis Sachar   #33/50: A book from your childhood   (fin 7/16/15)
(need I go on about this one?? classic!)

#43. Defending Jacob by William Landay    #43/50: A book that takes place in your hometown   (fin 7/16/15)
(So the hometown aspect of this was hard because
1:  I've moved from NJ(Town#1) to TX(Town#1) to TX(Town#2) to MA(Town#1) to MA(Town#2) to TX(Town#3) to NJ(Town#2) and yea well - not really a "hometown"
and 2. even any of the towns I lived in were pretty small time... so we went with the next best thing: a general Massachusetts suburban town (they're all pretty much the same!)
This book follows the father (a prosecuting attorney) of a boy who is eventually accusing of murdering a classmate...
It delves deep into a nuture vs. nature debate regarding killers - are they born? or raised? - and has a great surprise ending!! (which also definitely threw me, and seemed a bit abrupt ) but a great overall read!!

#44. The Tenth of December by George Saunders   #12/50: A book of short stores   (fin 7/19/15)
Overall a well-written collection of short stories - I never loved short stories because just as I get into one, and really deep into what happens next, it ends!!!

#45. The Cider House Rules by John Irving   #30/50: A book that came out the year you were born   (fin 7/26/15)
So considering we all now know I'm turning 30 (in a few days!!!) we can (hopefully!) calculate that I was born in 1985, the year this book was written - despite a movie being made from it more recently (1999).  I faintly remembered the movie as being great, and after reading the book (even better!) I'm really interested in re-watching the movie!
About an orphan who is never adopted from an orphanage/hospital, he apprentices with the physician learning abortions and procedures, without having ever stepped foot in medical school...
TRIGGER WARNING:  graphic descriptions of abortive procedures and numerous women who die from attempted procedures...

#46. Entwined, Entangled & Enthralled by Colette Gale   #31/50: A book with bad reviews   (fin 7/27/15)
So it's hard, on B&N book lists, to find books with bad reviews - you'll mostly find books with a 4-5 star rating, but only based on ONE review... until I found this sucker with just 2.5 stars...
it's even smuttier than 50 shades (though never as debased as pulling tampons out... oh, spoiler alert?)
with each pair of characters hooking up to bang it out; and it was easy, at the end of this book when they left you all cliff-hangy and wondering what happens to the heroine, to close it and not get the next installment, even being another free book...
looking for light reading to get you in the mood for FW? This is the book for you!

#47. Maine by J. Courtney Sullivan   #6/50: A book by someone under 30   (fin 7/30/15)
A great book following three women - the matriarch, her daughter, and her granddaughter, as they eventually end up at the Maine summer home the matriarch owns.  It's a good read, nothing phenomenal, but a good read...

#48. Stowaway Bride by Adrianne Wood   N/A category   (fin 8/2/15)
(So you'll frequently see very close "finish" dates, and it's because I almost always have two books going - I enjoy reading at lunch time, and so if I'm unable to access the one book I'm reading via my phone, I'll download another light read from B&N on my phone's Nook app...)
This would be one of those times I was at lunch and needed something to read... A light romance about a girl in the pioneer days hiding aboard a rail car, thinking her mother was on the private Pullman, and instead meets a railroad entrepreneur cowboy! (And of course, love ensues...)


#49. Bound by Melody Anne   N/A category   (fin 8/4/15)
(Another book when I was at lunch with nothing to read...)
Basically a 50Shades wanna-be where a woman joins an escort service for lack of better income to rescue her little brother who is in foster care, and mysterious Blake comes by and is enamored with her (even though she's "not ready" to service customers) and after a set amount of time (1 week) of hot and heavy sex, they've fallen in love - but neither are ready to admit it! (stupid authors - give you the first book for free, and then really leave you on a BAD cliff hanger - he drops her back off at the escort center - and then charges you $2.99 for the next book!)

Moar Books left on The Reading Challenge... moving on...


And now I'm currently reading (both) Finders Keepers (not on the list of categories) and Into the Wild... (the first is the one I read while at home and lunch - available on my nook and phone app, while I read the .pdf of Into the Wild while at my desk at work.... ssshhh!!)

another one this morning, with FMU for a change...

And as of this morning, there was no sign of AF at 12DPO (which is a "long" LP for me - AF usually shows exactly ON 12DPO...)

I was still (imagining/having?) symptoms - headache, nauseous-hunger... had to restrain myself from looking up bad batches of wondfos...
 I've got a FR (not sure if it's an FRER) that I was tempted to use this morning - but that meant I was basically calling the Wondfos liars... (unless - BAD BATCH?!)





But as of lunch today - (TMI warning? nawwww - no such thing on a TTC blog...) a CP check (not sure why I did one, lol) brought about some light brown, so it seems the crimson tide is creeping closer to shore...


And that's ok.

This is totally so different than TTC #1 (especially TTCAL - when we reached almost 18 months from the date I stopped birth control...)

That was pure desperation.  Utter knee-knocking fear when the timer went off at 5 minutes, indicating it was time to go check for those two pink lines.

Heart-pounding seconds as eyes focused in on the "test" line area on the pee stick...


Desperation.



This time, the 3-4 BFNs (but who's counting...) this week brought my shoulders a little lower, and drew a quick sigh of disappointment (but seriously?! I expected to be KTFU on the first cycle?!)

 But today, I think I'll start hydrating hardcore for my hot yoga class tonight (after which, I'll quickly shower and hopefully get to the liquor store before they close.  And if I don't make it, I believe there's a little Tennessee Jack Daniel's Honey in the freezer with my name on it...)


And tomorrow?


Buying some pom juice (can't hurt right? lol oh to quickly fall back into old TTC habits)
Buying some OPKs
Making dentist appointment (awful root canal NEEDS to get done!)
Making tattoo appointment to get a design drawn this weekend!!

I am so jealous of the success this gal has had on her What's Growing Wednesdays, I've decided to do a one-time What's Growing Wednesday myself!



Because I'm so stinkin' proud of our cute little pumpkin! 
E lovingly cultivated the plants, and unfortunately has to battle that white you see in the picture - a "dry mildew" he discovered a few nights ago... hopefully we make it to a full-crop this fall!

Down to Semantics...

Oh the difference it makes...

The first thing that comes to mind when I read/hear/see the term WCM is TTC-lingo:
"Watery Cervical Mucous"
(you're welcome - I hate the word mucous too!! And WHAT is the right way to spell it?!  It looks funny the way it is, but blogger seems to recognize it as a correctly spelled word!!)

So imagine the confusion, when I'm asked what it stands for and I give the above answer.

And then briefly see daycare being referred to (*which should never ever ever ever be even in the same thought-bubble as the TTC-lingo "WCM" !!!):

"Today was the second day we sent food in to daycare...  
I feel so guilty.  If I wasn't working, she wouldn't even be at daycare.  If I wasn't pushing breastmilk so much, she could just have their WCM."



I quickly backpedaled and corrected myself to the friend who asked what WCM means...


This time?

It means "Whole Cow's Milk"

Dee had her BABEEEE!!!!
so her 'plug came out Monday afternoon, no contractions had really begun until laaaate that night.
Tuesday morning (around 5am) she and hubby headed into L&D with very strong contractions, only to discover she was 3cm dilated.  (somewhat disappointing, but allowable at this point)

Except - this "point" lasted for the next 19 hours or so... she kept contracting, and never dilated past the 3cm... and then apparently baby C's cord was wrapped around his neck - so they got the heck into an OR and got that baby out safely via last-minute emergency C-section at 12:49am, July 9th!
(Which I thought was really kinda funny - the fact that of 4 women in our close group (and another 2 in the outer circles!) who have delivered in the past two-ish years - EVERY.SNGLE. one of us has had c-sections... and here I thought they weren't that common!!)

Anyway - E and I ran over on Wednesday's lunch break to see the little peanut, who wasn't really little at 9lb and 20" - big beautiful baby boy!
With a slightly rough next few days in MotherBaby Unit (fever for Momma that almost resulted in an 8-hr no-baby quarantine, followed by elevated BP for Momma that almost delayed discharge) the new family headed home Saturday evening, the same day that I ran my:

FIRST MUD RUN!
If you remember, some of the recent Buggy List 'ish was to hard-core train for this baby, which I kept up with for all of about 2 weeks.  And for which E predicted I wouldn't be able to do a few of the obstacles with my wimpy girl arms... well this chick KICKED-ASS and TOOK NAMES!
(We of course had to prep the boys with matching 'hawks:

we went through small mud ponds with OverUnderThingies (that was the official name on the obstacle map. ha! not really...) *Note - these images are all from previous mudruns hosted by Rugged Maniac

We crawled under barbed wire (it should be noted that ours was much lower than what is picture!!)

We walked across slippery 2x4's:

We scaled cargo nets:

We carried sacks of - well, not sure what exactly - but something heavy! (25lbs to be exact - and E was right - us "mommies have this! It's like toting a toddler!") *actual pic from our MudRun

 

We clamored up walls, and leapt over mudpits and fiery embers!

And the ONLY obstacle I did not FULLY complete was the rings - I swung once and fell in the water... lol

But dude - we ended on a kick-ass 2-story water slide: (these pictures are from our mud-run Saturday!)

We partied at beer tents afterwards (one free beer with completion of the MudRun!) and overall had a pretty kick-ass day - WHEN'S THE NEXT RUN?!?!

Tonight I'll be baking - a smash cake for Saturday's party, cupcakes for daycare tomorrow (although those must be store bought to easily provide that they're nut-free!) and 1 cake for tomorrow night's family bash as we celebrate  (OHMYF&*%CKINGGOD HE'S) one year:
